The silver holds the peroxide stable in solution for longer than peroxide alone, which is what makes it workable in a recirculating system where a fast-decaying oxidiser would be spent before it reached the root zone. Because it degrades to water and oxygen, it suits growers working to a residue limit or an organic certification.
