Peracetic Acid
A peroxyacetic acid disinfectant used in hospital and poultry sanitation.
A broad-spectrum disinfectant manufactured for hospital and poultry use, valued because it breaks down to acetic acid and water rather than leaving a lasting residue. It is supplied as an equilibrium solution of peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, acetic acid, and water, which is what keeps the active species stable in the drum. It stays effective in cold water and against organic soil where hypochlorite loses much of its strength, and it leaves no chlorinated by-products in the effluent. Concentration is set to your application, since a CIP circuit and a carcass wash call for very different strengths.
